Paste one URL, sign in to Iotamine and choose a scope. You don't need to copy an API key anywhere.

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE

Standard MCP authorization: discovery metadata, dynamic client registration, S256 PKCE. Your password never touches the AI client.

You choose the scope

The consent screen defaults to Read-only. Grant Read & write only when you want the assistant to change things.

Spend and destroy need confirm=true

Every tool that costs money or deletes something refuses to run until the assistant passes an explicit confirm=true, after telling you what it will do and what it costs.

Annotated tools

Each tool carries MCP readOnly/destructive hints, so your client can auto-approve lookups and always ask before risky actions.

Revocable like any API key

The access token is a normal Iotamine API key. Revoke it from API Keys and the server stops accepting it within about a minute.

Audited

Authorizing a client is recorded in your account activity log, and VPS and IP changes made through it are logged there just like dashboard actions.

No data stored

The server is a thin wrapper over the public REST API. It stores none of your data and every call runs as you, never a shared identity.

01What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants call external tools. Iotamine's MCP server exposes your cloud account as tools, so an assistant like Claude can list, create and manage your VPS servers when you ask it to.

02What is the Iotamine MCP server URL?

https://mcp.iotamine.com/mcp. Add it as a custom connector or remote MCP server in your client, then sign in to Iotamine when prompted.

03Which AI tools does it work with?

Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code), Cursor and VS Code are documented above. Any other client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth can connect the same way.

04Can the AI spend money or delete servers without asking?

No. Every tool that costs money or deletes something refuses to run without an explicit confirm=true argument, and the server instructs the assistant to explain the action and its cost first. You can also connect with a Read-only scope, which cannot change anything at all.

05What can it do?

07How do I revoke an AI client's access?

The OAuth access token is a normal Iotamine API key. Delete or deactivate it under API Keys in the dashboard and the MCP server stops accepting it within about a minute.

08Does Iotamine see or store my AI conversations?

No. The MCP server only receives the tool calls your client makes, forwards them to the Iotamine API as you, and returns the result. It stores none of your data.

09Is there a REST API too?

Yes. The MCP server is a thin layer over the same public REST API, which you can call directly from scripts, CI pipelines or your own tools with an API key.
