Account limits
Your balance is your credit line.
Every account has a resource cap across five dimensions — VPS count, vCPUs, RAM, disk, and IP addresses. The more prepaid balance you keep on the account, the higher it automatically goes. No request, no approval, no waiting.
The concept
One cap, five dimensions
Your tier sets a ceiling on how much infrastructure you can hold at once — summed across every VPS, standalone volume, and standalone IP you own, all at the same time.
How many at once
Summed across all
Summed across all
VPS + volumes
Bundled + standalone
Before you deploy
Every account starts unfunded
Signing up credits your account with a flat $10 bonus immediately — real credit, no strings attached. But it doesn't clear the $15 floor required to buy anything at all — no VPS, no IP, no volume, no matter what a tier's own resource caps say on paper. That floor is also exactly where Standard begins, so crossing it does both at once: it unlocks purchasing, and it's your first real tier.
In practice you'll clear it in one step: the smallest top-up you can add is $10, comfortably more than the gap — so your first top-up, whatever it is, takes you straight past the floor.
Clears the $5 gap to Standard on its own

An 8th, admin-negotiated state for accounts with hand-set limits — not tied to balance at all. The moment an admin edits a specific account's limits directly, that account is permanently excluded from auto-upgrades and stays exactly as set, until an admin explicitly resets it back to auto-tier.

How it works
Automatic in, never automatic out
Fully automatic
The moment your balance crosses a tier's threshold, you qualify — no request, no approval, nothing to wait on.
Checked in 3 places
Immediately after every successful payment, opportunistically when you load this page or try to deploy, and a daily background sweep that catches anything the first two missed.
Never downgrades
If your balance later drops, your tier — and its limits — stay exactly where they are. Nothing gets forcibly shrunk.
Two admin overrides
is_trusted accounts are capped at Premium regardless of balance, a separate and more conservative flag. Custom-quota accounts opt out of the ladder entirely until reset.
A separate rule
$15 gates four actions
Separate from — and in addition to — your tier's own resource caps: no matter which tier you're on, this exact balance is what unlocks the ability to buy anything at all.
Same number as Standard's own threshold, on purpose: "enough to qualify for Standard" and "enough to be trusted to buy at all" are treated as the same fact — which is exactly why Starter never functions as a deployable tier on its own (see above).
Downgrades are exempt. Resizing a VPS down, or anything that reduces what you're using, is never blocked by this check — regardless of your balance.
FAQ
Common questions
No — it's entirely automatic. The moment your account balance crosses a tier's threshold, the higher limits apply immediately. There's no form to fill in and no approval to wait on.
Your tier stays exactly where it is. Tiers only ever move up automatically — a balance drop later never shrinks your limits or forces anything to be removed.
It's the account's default label before it's funded — not a usable allowance. Its own resource caps are real numbers in the system, but no balance ever clears the purchase floor while still being below Standard, so nothing ever gets deployed while an account is on Starter. Standard is the first tier you can actually use.
Not quite — the $10 / ₹800 signup bonus doesn't clear the $15 / ₹1,000 minimum balance required to purchase anything. Add funds first — the moment you cross that line, you're both unlocked to buy and promoted to Standard.
A manual, admin-applied flag that caps an account at Premium regardless of balance — a separate, more conservative override from the normal balance ladder, not something you can opt into yourself.
That's what the Custom state is for — reach out and an admin can hand-set limits for your account outside the normal ladder. Once set, that account stops auto-upgrading until an admin resets it back.
No. The minimum-balance purchase check only ever applies to actions that increase what you're using — anything that reduces it, including resizing down, is always allowed regardless of balance.
