To be fair to DigitalOcean: its documentation and developer community are genuinely excellent, and its pricing is simple and honestly published — no hidden fragmentation the way a hyperscaler's billing works. The gap here isn't transparency, it's that a "Droplet" is a fixed bundle: getting more of one resource means paying for more of all of them.
