"VPS" doesn't always mean what you'd assume
Some providers sell container-based instances (OpenVZ, LXC) and call it a VPS. Ours is real KVM.
Every instance is a full virtual machine with its own kernel — not a namespace sharing the host's, the way OpenVZ/LXC-based "VPS" hosting works.
Linux or Windows (BYOL) — real hardware virtualization doesn't care what's inside the box, unlike container-based hosting locked to the host's own kernel.
